Here are just a few recommended tips on daily hair care to keep your Custom Krowns By Kris extensions to maintain healthy looking, manageable, and re-usable virgin extensions; because without proper maintenance your hair WILL NOT LAST the 18-36 months. Follow our instructions and guarantee that your hair will have a long lasting life.
WASHING YOUR HAIR
BEFORE you install your bundles we strongly suggest that you shampoo your bundles 2x with BedHead or Tresemme or OGX then condition your bundles 1x for the best results. When you Rinse out ALL of the conditioner; please be sure to rinse until there is not residue left. Being sure the conditioner is completely out of your hair is one of the most important steps because if you do not rinse it well, any residue or traces of conditioner left in your hair will result in STIFF and DULL hair. After this it is very important that you let your bundles (hang and AIR DRY). Now you are READY to install.
MORE TIPS
1. Use sulfate FREE shampoo and conditioner because products that contain sulfate can be very damaging a WILL DRY the hair out.
2. Use moisturizing and hydrating products ONLY.
3. Use a shampoo with oil In it such as "argan oil" "Moroccan oil" "keratin oil", EX. Custom Krowns By Kris Polish or SIlk Serum
4. Treat this hair like your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, we recommend using a deep conditioner such as Silicon Mix regular or Silicon Mix Moroccan Argan Oil.
5. DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR CLOSURE, this may cause balding!!!!!
We advise that you brush your hair every morning. Before Going to Bed: Gently brush hair to remove all tangles. Wrap wavy or straight hair, put curly into a pony tail then cover with a satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk pillow case.
You must NEVER sleep on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair and makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
Coloring Tips:
If you are not familiar with coloring hair please take your virgin hair extensions to a professional colorist!! CKBK is a Great investment so if you are not a professional, please don't mess up you hair. Always let a licensed professional color your bundles!!
Curly/Wavy Maintenance: For Best Results
Co-wash the CKBK curly virgin hair with cool water. Wash your hair with a conditioner. Rinse the hair with cool water. Let it hang and air dry, then you are ready to install. This method will keep the curl pattern nice and tight. Hot or warm water will loosen and potentially mess up the curl pattern. Being that curly is high maintenance, we recommend that you add our "Ruth's Curl Potion" to your cart.
